Let’s help them find their gifts within...and let their eagles fly |
AARDVARKSSLC.ORGWe represent over 3 decades of alternative CNA residential care, Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) activities, and mentoring services designed by brain injury persons for brain injury persons! We naturally speak a clients’ same language while living and working as productive TBI persons among a community that respects the handicap-able.
A TBI individual faces many challenges that combine memories of first living all their lives as a fully functioning, non-handicapped person before their TBI, then new mental and physical challenges of an accident that totally altered their being, their once predictable family system and complete lifestyles surrounding them.

Compared to those born with a handicap who have never experienced any previous years of normal living without limitations, TBI individuals face complete re-orientation that most people, without this forced sudden life change, may have much difficulty understanding. How would you as a normal person react if your total independence was suddenly accidentally compromised, maybe painfully, and you had to make the adjustment from total ability to maimed, partial or no mobility at all?
We have observed these kinds of real life changing experiences of those TBI’s involved with us and designed our activities and mentoring services from their point of view. Using this unique perception liaison for almost three decades, we try very hard to match TBI needs with personalities of those we have served: striving to help them build their strengths and manage their weaknesses accordingly while reaching to find and then, develop their gifts within. |
